How does Security as a Service work?
A modular Security platform. The service is made up of 3 elements, each of which adds a layer of security to your network: Web Defense, Front-End Defense and Gateway Defense.
The three layers of protection
Web Defense
Provides a first barrier against DDOS (Distributed Denial Of Service) attacks and an AI-based cloud Web Application Firewall (WAF), including the filtering of incoming requests by geographic area (GEO-IP), so that access from IPs located in areas not considered «trusted» is blocked; it also improves Web access performance through the use of a CDN (Content Delivery Network).
Front-End Defense
Sundata offers solutions for secure user access to an application or a set of web applications. This service is available both for access to Sundata Cloud services and for access to any Public or Private Cloud; the application delivery platform leverages the full power of Citrix ADC to enable secure user access via web portal (https), with the option of implementing two-factor authentication.
Gateway Defense
A service that protects the gateway through a NextGen Firewall (Forcepoint technology). The FWaaS system includes several features, among which: IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems); Usage Control monitor by application, user and URL; Encrypted Inspection accelerated, policy controlled; Security Proxies (SSH, SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, TCP, UDP, TFTP, FTP, DNS); Anti-Bot with multi-method detection of Command and Control channels; Anti-Virus through Reputation checks and local AV scanning; URL Filtering with more than 120 dynamic categories for Web content filtering; Advanced Malware Detection, cloud-based and on-premise zero day sandboxing.

Private Cloud
A private IaaS service from one of Sundata’s Data Centers, perfect for those seeking a high level of IT management without having to worry about the “physical” management of the infrastructure and its TCO.
